How to get to Sitges

From Barcelona city

38km – 45min

Take the Pau Casals Motorway C-32 (toll charge). Follow signs to Sitges and Tarragona. Exit 30.

Alternatively take the C-31 (18km of which are on the coastal corniche road)

From El Prat Airport (Barcelona)

32km – 30min

C-32 Pau Casals Motorway (toll charge) in the direction of Sitges, Tarragona. Exit 30.

Alternatively take the C-31 (18km of which are on the coastal corniche road).

From Lleida, Zaragoza, Madrid

Take the AP-2 motorway (toll charge) towards Barcelona. Turn onto the AP-7 motorway towards Tarragona . You are doubling back 8km to take the C-32 coastal motorway (toll charge) towards Sitges & Barcelona for 31km. Exit 30.

From Reus Airport (Tarragona)

70km – 1h

Take the T-11/A-2 towards Tarragona. Take the E-15/AP7 towards Barcelona. Motorway AP-7 (toll charge). Take exit to join motorway C-32 (toll charge) towards Sitges, Barcelona. Exit 30.

From Girona Airport

134km – 1h 45m

Follow directions to motorway E-15/AP-7. Take the AP-7 towards Barcelona (toll charge). After Granollers continue on the C-33. Turn onto the C-58 following the signs for Barcelona rondas/C32/Airport.
Continue on the B-20 and follow signs for motorway C-32 (toll charge) towards Sitges, Tarragona. Exit 30.

From France

Cross the French-Spanish border into the province of Girona on the AP-7 motorway (toll charge) – a continuation of the French A-9 motorway. After Granollers, take the C-33. Then take the C-58 following the signs for Barcelona Rondas/C-32/Airport.
Continue on the B-20 and follow signs for the C-32 motorway (toll charge) to Sitges. Exit 30.

From Barcelona

38km – 45-55min

The distance of 38km is covered in 45-55 min, depending on the number of stops the bus makes on the way. Not all buses stop at the airport.

The Barcelona service starts on Ronda Universidad, 33 between Calle Balmes and Plaza Catalunya. There is another stop on Calle Sepúlveda and another at Plaza España. The Sitges stop is in front of the Parc Can Robert on Avenida Vilanova, 14.

The company that runs this service is Mon Bus, which also offers transport between the towns of Sitges, Vilanova i la Geltrú & Sant Pere de Ribes. Please note timetables and frequencies are different for weekdays, weekends or holidays. From El Prat-Barcelona Airport

The company MonBus operates a bus service from Barcelona airport to Sitges: (website in English, French, Catalan and Spanish ) Contact details: e-mail:– Tel. (+34) 93 893 70 60 The company website shows timetables and prices. There is a surcharge for fares to and from the airport. The MonBus bus stop is at Terminal 1 (T1). There is a free airport shuttle bus for passengers arriving at Terminal 2 (T2) located under the bridge outside T2B. The distance between the two terminals is 4km and the ride takes between 10-15 minutes.  The shuttle bus runs every 7 minutes, 24/7.

From Reus Airport (Tarragona)

There is no direct bus route from Reus Airport to Sitges. The “Hispano Igualadina” bus company runs a service from Reus airport to Barcelona train station Estació de Sants and vice-versa.

The journey takes between 1hr 30mins and 1hr 45mins. To get from Estació de Sants to Sitges, take the train.  (Please refer to the section on train travel.)

From Girona Airport

134km – 1h 45m

The “Sagalés” bus company operates a service from Girona Airport to Barcelona’s Estació Nord bus terminal and takes about 75mins. From the bus terminal you need to take the subway to a train station to continue your journey to Sitges (Please refer to the section on train travel). Exit the bus terminal by following signs for “Sortida Nàpols” and walk to the metro station Arc de Triomf (L1, red line) less than a couple of minutes away. To get to the Estació de França train station, change at Urquinaona (L4 yellow line) and get off at Barceloneta. To get to the Paseo de Gracia train station, change at Urquinaona (L4, yellow line in the opposite direction) and get off at Paseo de Gracia.

From Barcelona to Sitges commuter train R2 Sud (Southbound)

Barcelona - Estació de França

This station is located next to the Ciutadella Park on Avinguda Marqués de l’Argentera 1, between the neighbourhoods of La Barceloneta and La Ribera (also known as the Born neighbourhood)

Barcelona - Passeig de Gràcia

Passeig de Gràcia is an underground railway and metro station located on the boulevard from which it takes its name at the height of Carrer Aragó (access available in front of Gaudí’s Casa Batlló on Passeig de Gràcia, 43).

Barcelona - Sants

Located in the Sants neighbourhood (Plaça dels Països Catalans, s/n), it is the main station for long distance national and international trains.

From El Prat Airport (Barcelona)

The airport train station is situated opposite Terminal 2 (T2), and is connected to this terminal via an airbridge. There is also a Bustransit service between the train station and T1. To get to Sitges you need to change trains at the station of El Prat de Llobregat and take a train in the opposite direction.

Itinerary: Airport-El Prat de Llobregat (one stop). Service from the airport starts at 05.42 until 23.38. Trains run every 30 mins. Change trains at El Prat. Train for Sitges on Line R2 Sud takes 24 mins. Trains run every 30 minutes.

AVE - High-speed rail service

We suggest continuing the journey to Barcelona-Sants station and transfering to the R2 Sud (R2S) line, retracing part of the journey in order to reach Sitges. Despite the Camp de Tarragona station being geographically closer to Sitges, it is not connected to the local train service.

From Reus Airport (Tarragona)

There is no train station at Reus Airport, however there is a train station in the city of Reus which can be reached by taxi or bus from the airport.

To get to Sitges from Reus, you need to take a Rodalies Regional R14 which stops in sitges or the R15 train towards Barcelona and change for a Rodalies R2Sud (R2S) commuter train at the station of Sant Viçenc de Calders which also runs in the direction of Barcelona and stops in Sitges.

A taxi from Reus airport to Reus train station costs around 20€. Public transport offers a bus service from the airport to the centre of Reus which currently costs 2,40€. and takes about 30 minutes (Bus route 50).

The buses are yellow and the information office at the airport can supply a leaflet in Spanish and English “Guia d’horaris de l’aeroport” showing the timetable and stops.
